ZeroCyl Plus Subscription Terms
This is a translation for convenience. If it differs from the Traditional Chinese version, the Traditional Chinese version prevails.
What the service includes
All ZeroCyl features are provided free of charge. Subscribing to ZeroCyl Plus removes the ads in the app while your subscription is active. The subscription does not add or unlock any other features, and does not guarantee that any particular feature will always be available.
Plans and payment
- Monthly: paid by recurring credit card charge. It takes effect on the day of your first payment; after that, you are charged automatically each month on about the same date and the subscription is extended by one month, until you cancel.
- 30-day pass: a single payment for 30 days without ads. You are not charged automatically when it expires. If you buy again while a pass is active, the days are added on.
- Prices are as shown on the payment page, in New Taiwan dollars, tax included. Payment is processed by NewebPay; ZeroCyl never receives your card number.
- If the monthly subscription price changes, we will announce it in the app at least 30 days before your next charge. You can cancel before the change takes effect.
Canceling auto-renewal
In the app, go to "Settings → ZeroCyl Plus" and tap "Cancel auto-renewal". You can cancel at any time, with no fee. After you cancel, you will not be charged again; you can keep using the current paid period until it ends, and the fee for the current period is not refunded.
7-day right of rescission (cooling-off period)
ZeroCyl Plus is "digital content not provided on a tangible medium, or an online service that is completed once provided." Under Article 2, Subparagraph 5 of the Regulations Governing the Reasonable Exceptions to the Application of the Right of Rescission in Distance Sales (通訊交易解除權合理例外情事適用準則), once you check the box before payment agreeing that the service may begin immediately, the 7-day right of rescission under Article 19 of the Consumer Protection Act does not apply. If you are charged twice, charged the wrong amount, or ads cannot be removed because of a problem on ZeroCyl's side, email us and we will refund you after looking into it.
Devices, pairing codes and recovery codes
- ZeroCyl does not require you to register an account. Each subscription can be used on 2 devices at the same time (e.g. a phone and an in-car browser). If you need more devices, you can add them when you buy; each additional device is charged at the price shown on the payment page.
- On a subscribed device, open "Settings → ZeroCyl Plus → Pair another device" to show a 6-digit pairing code. Enter it on the other device within 10 minutes to link it. Each pairing code can be used only once. You can remove linked devices in Settings at any time.
- After payment, you will see a recovery code. After switching phones or browsers, or clearing site data, enter the recovery code to keep using Plus. If all device slots are in use, it replaces the device that has gone unused the longest.
- Keep your recovery code safe and do not share it with anyone. If you lose it, email us with the payment time and the NewebPay transaction number, and we will help you transfer it once we have verified the details.
Invoices
An electronic invoice is issued for every payment as required by law, and sent to the email address you provided at payment.
Changes to or termination of the service
If ZeroCyl ceases operation or stops offering Plus, we will announce it in the app in advance and refund fees that were paid but not used, in proportion to the remaining days.
Safe use
ZeroCyl is for entertainment only, and subscribing does not change that. Do not operate your phone while driving. You are responsible for your own driving safety and for complying with local laws. Speed camera alert data comes from public data and user reports, may be incomplete or inaccurate, and is not guaranteed to be correct.
